A few weeks ago I was contacted my the makeup artist duo Tasmia and Ameera of Matte Makeup. They kindly asked if I would like to be their model for a makeup workshop they would be running aptly named “All about that Base”. Of course I said yes.
The workshop aimed at teaching basic makeup principals to the attendees. As well as touching on more advanced techniques like contouring and learning how to wing it. The lovely ladies also shared some of their makeup hacks which are budget friendly and help with easy makeup application. They were hands on and extremely friendly which made everyone around them a lot more comfortable.
Their setup was professional and it was apparent that a lot of thought and planning went into their venture. Each person was provided with notes and a notebook. Yummy snacks and drinks were on hand throughout the workshop. No thought was spared with even cotton buds and makeup wipes being easily accessible in case mistakes were made. All high quality pigmented products were given to the attendees to use during the workshop which is really important for me.
Being the model I had the pleasure of having my makeup done by the lovely Tasmia. The makeup was a lot more dramatic than what I usually do but it was lovely nonetheless. Tasmia is a perfectionist (which I believe is a trait that all makeup artists should have) and it shows in her work. Note the winged liner….
The duo work well together and I was impressed with the manner that they held the workshop. It was professional but their warm nature made it fun.
