All that glitters IS gold

Hello Lovelies

Last weekend was just the craziest I attended two weddings in one weekend so you can imagine the tiredness that ensued. I want a do over of the weekend pretty please…

As crazy as it was I love getting dressed up and spending extra attention on my makeup and hair.
Oh and I finally , finally got to wear my current most coveted item of clothing that I purchased from Spree especially for the wedding. A beautiful 50’s style midi skirt in gorgeous gold metallic embossed fabric.

The skirt wasn’t my initial choice I actually chose something plain but it ended up being out of stock. Highly dismayed I scrolled through each page hoping to find a similar style especially because of the length. I happened upon the gold skirt and it was way more wedding appropriate. Again I worried about the length and especially the size as I don’t buy clothes online ever. When I received the parcel I was so thrilled with my purchase but well something had to go wrong, it didn’t fit! I requested a refund and purchased a new skirt was delivered to me within four days. I must commend the Spree team, free delivery and service is impeccable. Returns can also be done within thirty days at no extra charge. After all the drama I finally found my dream skirt.

Then came the mission of matching a top for it. The skirt being quite elaborate I went through a ton of choices but my inner classic prevailed and I purchased an off white blouse from Mango to pair with it. My mum was not at all pleased thinking it’s quite plain after all it was her sisters wedding but I had this idea in my head and (I know she agrees with me now) the entire look came together just as I had imagined.

I accessorised with an acrylic clutch from Ziba Styles my favourite nude ankle strap heels and a gorgeous neck piece also from Ziba Styles . The neck piece basically matched the different tones of the skirt and after seeing just two pieces this piece won.

With my tiny waist and hips that are from tiny this silhouette suited my body shape perfectly. It was undoubtedly the most comfortable item of clothing I have ever worn for a wedding.

I’m so in love with this skirt I just want to prance around in full skirts all day (50’s housewife maybe?)…

Oh you survived Monday the rest of the week is going to be a breeze (I hope)…
