Trend Post- Summer Loving with Le Espadrille

Hello Lovelies

One of my favourite shoe trends this season has to be the espadrille. Well suited for a summer in the Hamptons or St Tropez but it also works well when integrated into street style. When comfort and style meet it’s an ultimate winner for me! Also one of the most versatile shoes as it can be worn with basically any summer ensemble from laid back dresses or jeans and a T-shirt. If you’re not much of a flats person you can opt for the wedge heeled version. Another thing that I look for are ankle ties I think they are very cute. Generally I would stick to neutral colours or red and stripes to keep with the timeless nautical trend which I’m a big fan off.

Goes well with Skinny jeans and leather (perfect for those cooler days)

Or wear it with the ever comfy boyfriend jean for the ultimate laid back look.

Wear with shorts and skirts on those sweltering days.

And well this is how you wear espadrilles. This look is everything:

The Chanel Espadrille has got to be the most coveted one yet as you have probably noticed in my street style inspo (above) stylistas adore them.

But yeah Chanel is waaay beyond most of our budgets but don’t despair most high street and department stores are stocking them this season. I picked up these metallic ones from Queue for R199!

The only thing I can’t see them transitioning from day to night unless you’re holidaying. The wedges might work, but I feel it’s ultimately day wear.

I’m certainly a fan of comfort so I’m on the lookout for a few more pairs to take me through summer in effortless style while I dream of holidaying in the Hamptons.
