Hi lovelies
On my trip I scoured for a few trends to alert you guys before the coming seasons. Glad to say the denim on denim trend is here to stay (it’s definitely one of my favourites). Sporty Luxe is also big for Autumn /Winter 2014. I spotted the new ranges in stores like Zara and Mango were very sport orientated with cuffed sweatpants and slogan sweaters being the main items. So if you purchased these last winter don’t discard them just yet.
Are you ready to let your inner biker chick make an appearance ? Because leather is huge for next season. Leather can go from chic and sexy to looking like an S & M ensemble if the styling is wrong. My suggestion is to just wear one leather piece, and soften with more feminine items like lace and chiffon. I’m not daring enough to wear tight leather pants, I purchased leggings and pants with leather panels, but if you are daring a great item to purchase are leather skinny pants or leggings. Just remember : Leggings aren’t pants (especially leather leggings) Cover the necessary body parts 😉
Miranda Kerr can do know wrong for me in the style department, and she has this look on point.
One item I’m actually keen to try on, although I haven’t come across any are leather joggers.
Love how it looks paired with denim.
Shine bright like….
Over the years I have warded off sequins , but everywhere I shopped on my trip I spotted the sparkles, and surprisingly enough not only on formal wear. Almost all the sweaters at Abercrombie had sequinned details on them, for a brand that primarily stocks sports wear this was a change. I purchased two sweaters from Mango with sequinned sleeves, I liked the contrast of the two fabrics, it has that fun element to it.
If you love some sparkle a sequinned blazer is the way to go. Worn with a crisp shirt and skinny jeans makes it a winner.
What’s your favourite colour? Pantone says this year it should be…
Radiant Orchid is a rich purple hue, which is as beautiful as it’s name. This colour will work for all the seasons, but I like it for winter especially. A radiant orchid coat is a lust have for me.
Oh as trendy as something is, always make it your own…

The leather and the sequins are big “yes pleases” from me. Not sold on the new shade of the year though, never been a fan of purple.

I wasn’t the biggest fan either , but I somehow like this shade. Xx
Im loving the leather trend! Totally need to get my hands on a pair of leather joggers!
I’m also not sold on the colour though, it’s a bit too prom dress/mother of the groom for my liking lol
I have a pair of heels in Radiant Orchid that I bought in Sandton. They look stunning. I wear them with almost of everything.
